Louis P. Salley obtained a Bachelor of Arts, with majors in History and Economics, from the University of Alberta and, in 1962, a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Alberta. He was admitted to the Law Society of Alberta in 1963 and the Law Society of British Columbia in 1968. Mr. Salley’s preferred areas of practice are mining, oil & gas, corporate and securities law, with emphasis on the financing of natural resource companies, as well as mining property acquisitions, dispositions and joint ventures. Mr. Salley is a director or senior officer of several publicly listed resource companies.

Paul A. Bowes obtained a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of British Columbia and, in 1982, a Bachelor of Laws from the University of British Columbia. He was admitted to the Law Society of British Columbia in 1983. Mr. Bowes’ preferred areas of practice are securities, corporate, mining, oil & gas, and native business development law, with emphasis on corporate reorganizations, continuations, mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, as well as the financing of technology, mining companies. Mr. Bowes has given lectures on the policies and rules of the TSX Venture Exchange, and securities law and regulation for the Continuing Legal Education Society of B.C. Mr. Bowes was formerly Secretary and a director of the Autism Society of British Columbia from October 2001 to September 2003; he is currently Treasurer, Secretary and a director of Friend 2 Friend Social Learning Society.

Victor P. Harwardt obtained a Bachelor of Arts, with distinction, from the University of Calgary and, in 1982, a Bachelor of Laws from the University of British Columbia. He was admitted to the Law Society of British Columbia in 1984. Mr. Harwardt’s preferred areas of practice are securities, corporate finance and corporate and commercial law. He represents companies in the natural resource and technology sectors and assists them in a variety of matters including public and private equity financings, stock exchange listings, mergers, acquisitions and other corporate combinations. A significant element of his practice is international in scope. Mr. Harwardt has served as a director or senior officer of publicly listed companies. He is Past President and a director of the British Columbia Housing Foundation, a non-profit society which provides affordable housing in Vancouver for low income seniors.
